who's whining about it? i enjoyed mad max despite it being feminist propaganda. it was a good film, i don't get why you think i'm whining. i liked force awakens too, despite the female lead being a mary sue who spouted "don't hold my hand" like a child often enough to be noticeable. but it was still a good movie and i'm not whining about anything, pointing out fact is not the same as whining about them. I would like to see some male protagonists though because they don't generally have much of a problem with physical contact. at least they're not crying out about it 10 times a film.
anyway, i did enjoy how in mad max the women's plan was to abandon the patriarchy and march off into a barren wasteland to die. at least max finally had something to do in the movie besides be a punching bag when he convinced women to fight for what they believe in and not run away. otherwise they never would have literally ascended to power during the resolution of the movie. good flick, but kinda on the nose allegorically. the ultraviolence helped to mask the less subtle undertones. well done.
nothing really excuses rey as a mary sue in the force awakens though.

you should let the women decide that for themselves. obviously you've never been chased by zombies and saved by sexy soldiers. you need to look at it through the eyes of the women making the choice and not see everything through the lens of a man who's about to have his women raped. maybe for you having your women raped is unacceptable, hell, i don't even like sharing a drink with someone, but it's not really your choice if they get raped or not. making ultimatums for them isn't really going to help anything.
