Did she say it was specifically about the video games? It could have been the Cheetos and mountain dew stains on the bed. Women hate that kind of thing.

you need to ease her into it, also find her hobby and really encourage her to delve into it. if she loves reading, then build her some shelves and make her a comfy spot to read. if she likes movies/tv then make sure you cater to her intrests. everyone has hobbies or blows time frivilously, encourage her intrests so she is okay spending time doing things she likes, and hopefully she'll allow you the same courtesy.
but plan to spend a lot of time with her, she's in a new place and is looking for comfort while she grows accustomed to her new home. you'll have to feed that and make a sacrifice, and that means spend less time gaming and more time focused on her and your relationship.
you'll only have to do this for a week or so. smother her with as much attention as she wants and she'll (quickly) want less and less to the point that you can live more normally. she'll eventually want alone time and time to read her books or watch her shows and then she won't care if you game for lengths of time.
but first you gotta show her that your time with her is more important than your time with a new game. she'll also eventually learn that you play less as the novelty wears off and she'll be more accepting of you spending inordinant amounts of time on new games. it's unfortunate that the timing was poor, because the only real choice you've got is to play less for a while.
