Just had a Ham sandwich and it tastes much better than any Subway sandwich out there. But this might go without saying.

That is just terrific. 74.8 miles round trip just to try bread with stuff in the middle.
The only way I make a Subway sorta work is to order the Cold Cut Combo on Herb Cheese bread. After loading it up with the Lettuce Tomatoes Onions Bell Peppers Spinach n Pickles, and then I tell em to pour on the Black Olives and I mean pour on. Pepper no salt cause the meat is loaded as it is. Oil Vinegar.

Final important stuff is to load it with Parmesan cheese and then POUR ON THE OREGANO.

It pails by comparison to going to Little Italy downtown to Mona Lisa. I moan as I take every bite and the Photo is the real deal - Costs a couple of bucks more and worth every penny.
Has real meat not the fake Turkey stuff Subway uses. Nor do I have to give any special instructions.

er no I mean they use turkey meat that is ground up and colored to look like Ham and Salami or its turkey soaked in chemicals to look and taste like ham or Salami.
Sandwich will fill you up but it for sure is NOT the real deal.

True, but we do not seem to have a variety of local eateries around that isn't all Mexican cuisine or burger joints.

I still want to try Apollo's, but I'm too afraid of the part of town it resides. Fortunately, the city has plans on renovating Old Town in hopes of lowering the crime rate down there. Businesses I think will be moving in are Juice It Up and maybe even Jimmy Johns since only Apple Valley has them.

Which reminds me. There actually is a cafe near Subway that I think is a local business. They're on my must visit list.

Ouch well damn man. It not like I had a clue about Jimmy's john. I did this - lookC if they are everywhere - 30 years, the company has grown to more than 2,000 locations in 43 states.

Given this joint serves up Eu and Jimmy ain't made it over the big pond - Hell Subway is even in China. Looked at Yelp reviews and NOT all that bad- Actually some good some less than good but over all not so bad EXCEPT Yelp people think Jersey Mikes is more better. I can check out Jersey Mikes without filling up Beemer gas tank all the way.

You might enjoy a perusal of this review site - Has a lot to say GOOD and well less than INCLUDING A Big fail on the Italian Sub from Johnny's. If I wood have driving all that way to try out the Vito I wood have been more than dissapoint

We have a lot of cool local gems. There's a neat wig store near Baker's (still counts as local) and even an adults only store nearby.

There is another burger joint close to where I used to reside out in the middle of the boondocks off of National Trails Highway (Route 66) that also got good reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, you need to pay with cash apparently and the hours are limited.

Holland Burger is the name and apparently a couple of Hollywood pictures were shot out there.

I'm far away near the urban center of the town. Most of the city's economy relies on freeway travellers going to and from Vegas so most of everything is alongside Interstate 15.

Also, I've seen that cross when I took a trip to Ore Grande for my photography class. Your posting of pictures around my general location is really starting to get creepy.
