Rough numbers for me:
Rent+heat: $1300ish (lol NYC)
Gas/electricity: $30-40ish
Internet: $25ish
Dental nsurance: $30ish
Health insurance: covered by parents (thanks Obama)
Student Loans: $350
Transportation: $120
Laundry/dry-cleaning: $40
Food: anywhere from $150-400 maybe? I don't keep track of it as well as I should.
Total cost: too much. Somewhere between $1850-2k/month is my guess. NYC cost of living is ready high though. Other places could be as low as $1k or $1,250 I bet.

I live in a nursing home I am allowed to keep $30 a month from my SS check. But my room and board is paid for. Medicare pays for my medical bills. We get free internet service here. I need nothing else really.

Pssst, you forgot to add the 8 extra T's after the word "but".
So therefore, fake syntax detected.

Do you use a buttload of water and heat? Those bills seem very high

No, that was the combination of all electric, including heat and AC.

Anyone can type in the Moniker Syntax and make a joke.
Fact is and its just fucked up because the Social Security system is rigged. No matter how much you put in the maximum you can get is $42,182 a year.
Ain't worth all that much but hey I could lose my ass with Betfair and one never no's when one could use a crutch.
Not sure of this number but a quick lookC on Minimum SS
"Minimum SS check is $725. Medicare Part B is $100. Social Security minimum take home is only $625 per month! $625 divided by 160 hours (40/week) = $3.90 per hour."

er wait one minute now.
Not bragging cause as much as I despise Trump - He pays more in taxes than I. Yet I am betting if you live in USA, I pay one hell of a lot more taxes than you.
Which means with my math I am helping YOU to exist.
Just Saying.
I also pay Australian Income Tax and because of current USA Election will be paying a CHUNK MORE!
Qualcomm in theory wood cover that tax but I dare not imagine wot they wood think if they noticed it came from wagering.

Food depends entirely on how cheaply I eat. I could get it pretty close to $150 if i skip breakfast, pack my own lunch every day, and cook all my meals in big batches in the slow cooker. Obviously the more I move away from that, the more it goes up, but I don't know exactly how much I spend on average. Also my parents will occasionally give me some food when I go home for holidays and vacations which saves money too.
@664,288 (beckyphone)
30 day unlimited metro card is about $117/month. Occasionally I will have to spend money outside that (Buses home to parents, public transit outside of NYC) but I would say 95% of the time I use transportation it is provided by the card.
