Topic: Why do people fear a Hillary Clinton presidency?
Anonymous A started this discussion 10 years ago#51,168
Why do people hate Clinton so much? Why can't Clinton attract women voters? Would people really rather have Trump for president than Clinton? She cannot be that bad.

well, they were convinced by their media that she had Vince Foster murdered and killed the Waco cultists on purpose, like that guy who later blew up a federal building in Oklahoma as revenge

I think Elizabeth Warren would have been a much better choice. She could have convincingly played an Obama 08 style progressive outsider campaign with much more appeal to Sanders fans. > Why do people hate Clinton so much?
Because she is an utterly debased and corrupt marionette of the billionaire donor class and Wall Street.
> Would people really rather have Trump for president than Clinton
Hillary's doing great in the polls because the fight hasn't actually started yet. Once Trump finishes off the last two GOP clowns he will wipe the floor with Hillary (yes, Syntax, I know about Betfair and Nate Silver).

Does Donald Trump really want to kill all of the brown/poor people?

Would you bet on that? Loser donates $10 to the charity of the winner's choice. You win if Donald Trump is the Repub nominee, Hillary wins the Dem nominee and Trump beats Hillary. I win if the same is true but Hillary beats Trump. If one or both of them aren't the respective party nominees, the bet is off.

How interesting...
Do you plan to make the loser donate to a serious charity, or will you take the comedy option of telling the other person to donate to one that completely goes against their beliefs?

If AnonTalk was still around it would be pretty damn funny to make that be the charity.

Although, IIRC, Kimmo even came to be suspicious of people offering to donate. Which I suppose is understandable when it was largely just trolls offering to donate anyway.

Deal! @663,620 (RWBY Rhubarb? !!iNo3FkiZx)
Much as I would like to force Metæ to donate to AIPAC, the JIDF or the ADL, I will just have him donate to MSF or Engineers Without Borders or something.

I think the problem is this: Hillary doesn't have to worry about winning the Democratic nomination so she doesn't need to make a sharp left turn to get Democratic voters fired up. She can start out with a centrist stay the course policy which has a broader appeal than Trump's outlandish policies.
Trump can't be presidential until he's finished with Cruz and Kasich. Once he's dispatched them, he can be very centrist and appealing because Trump's political platform is made of Silly Putty.
Also keep in kind Trump has faced massive media opposition even from "conservative" outlets. He's gotten tons of coverage but most of it has been negative. This impacts the polls. Once Trump wins the nomination the media will move from anger into the bargaining and acceptance phases of grief.
I also think Trump will get a decent percentage of the black vote. Probably less than Hillary but I bet at least 30 or 40%.

That'd be half the fun. I think you had to get 500 posts to even ask about donating.
I'd probably do Amnesty International or ACLU or the EFF.

Votes actual total voters so far (does not include weekend results)
Clinton —— 4.8 million
Trump —— 4.2 mill
Cruz —— 3.4 mill
Bernie - 3.0 mill
Rubio - 2.3 mill

March 24th 2016 Poll: Nearly half of Republican women wouldn't vote for Trump
Let's look at our latest NBC/WSJ poll to see how big this issue is:
This month, about half (47 percent) of Republican female primary voters said they could not imagine themselves voting for Trump. (About 40 percent of male GOP primary voters said the same.)
"
When it comes to the general electorate, Trump has an even more pronounced problem with female voters.
Trump's favorability with women overall is a dismal 21 percent positive/ 70 (!) percent negative.
With men, it's 28 percent positive/ 59 percent negative.
Fast look at Clinton - Quick cause well cause - January 29, 2016 so its old as fuck but will do for now - betting not much has changed so prove me wrong

Its Easter. Did you not get any Easter Eggs? I not even Christian and I got several baskets of Easter Eggs. Going to have a couple for breakfast.
Why is it no one loves you? Hillary Clinton will love you if you vote for her. If that does not appeal to you perhaps this gal who did not swallow so much all that well might

Maybe he will run to the center and pretend to be moderate, but Dems will keep all the shit he said during the primary on the air through the entire campaign. Something like:
*Audio clip of Trunp making fun of John McCain for getting tortured during the Vietnam War*
"Donald Trump thinks being a prisoner of war is something to be ashamed of. We think there is no higher honor than serving your nation in times of conflict, and no shame in getting taken prisoner by our enemies."
*waving American flag in background*
"This ad paid for by Veterans Against Trump"
Also the big draw of Trunp is that he does politics differently. He doesn't pander to the usual crowds, he says what's on his mind and to hell with what people think about that. If he does what every other politician does, and starts acting politically correct he will alienate his voting base while at the same time not gaining any new voters from the crowd who disliked him before. I honestly don't see how Repubs are gonna pull this one off.

If you are a fan of conspiracy theories? We already have surmised that Bernie is a pimp/shill for Hillary. Trump is currently doing a terrific job destroying the regular Republican party.
Trump as it stands is doing a terrific job getting Hillary's popularity numbers UP. This could just be a Trump set up to slide Hillary into home plate.
Few will be shocked when Trump is invited to the Inauguration of Hillary.
