If I post spoilers here, will I get banned??

I don't know.

Ill-intended spoilers may get you banned. Keep it in a topic about batman vs superman and you will be fine, or use spoiler tags while mentioning you are spoiling batman vs superman.

The critics generally seem to think that it wasn't very good:

What did you think, OP?

It's one of the best superhero movies I've seen so far. Won't say too much more, except I'm planning to see it again over the weekend and I can't wait for the next one in the series.

You're welcome to describe it in full detail in this thread, if you'd like.

Totally disagree. It's incredibly good.

Well, Affleck kicks ass as The Bat, despite all the backlash to his being cast in the role. He plays both Bruce Wayne and Batman completely straight and avoids all the cliches associated with the character(s). Not much more I can say without giving away the plot, but he more or less dominated the movie from his first appearance.

I understand that some comic book fans were unhappy with the portrayal of Lex Luthor. Since in the comics he's quite cool and cerebral, whereas in this he's more outgoing, energetic, and a bit silly. Though, of course, this is likely only a problem if you're attached to his comic portrayal.

He also has hair. Does he lose his hair, by the end? This is pretty crucial. His baldness is one of the cornerstones of his character.

@662,980 (A)
Do you feel it was a good setup for the wider DC Cinematic Universe? Since that was a main aim of this film.

Definitely. As a comics geek, I can see where the overall storyline is leading, but the interesting thing is that multiple possibilities are suggested throughout the film.

Seriously, I think you should see the movie and judge for yourself. I'll say this much, however: Eisenberg turns in an impressive performance as Luthor, and his portrayal of the character makes a lot more sense as the story progresses.

The relationship between Catwoman and The Flash felt a bit forced.

The anticipation became too much. I took to Google to try and find the answer. I shall place the results of my sleuthing under a spoiler tag:

Yes, it seems that he does loose his hair, at some point. I found pictures of the character as a bald.

it was pretty lackluster, imo. the first hour was slow, but building up to a big idealogical fight. then they decided to make it about their moms :/

basically all the movie did was get louder and brighter, and the fight with doomsday was short as fuck. and why wonder woman? seriously, the character was totally tacked on and superfluous. at the end batman and superman are like, "i thought she was with you." it's like they tried to make her a strong female character by having her elbow her way on screen. she was like a party crasher no one knew or cared about.

and did they really need to do ''4 dream sequences? really?

2/5

That person was in there because DC wants to set up a shared universe. Like Marvel.

That person especially strikes a demographic that Marvel hasn't as strongly committed to, yet, since they're getting their own movie. So they want to get them set up and known.

yeah. but it was so tacked on. i get what they are doing, but it is very ham-handed the way they are doing it. also, marvel is more light hearted and pokes fun at itself. dc takes it's movies so seriously and it ends up ruining the drama they try so hard to craft. can't take caped super heros so seriously.

marvel is doing it right, dc is trying hard to do it differently and they are doing it poorly. imho.
