The world isn't as simple as "X is bad, Y is good." Sorry bro.

Depends on what kind of carb and how much of it you eat, since every food is different, but mostly yes. That's why there are so many effective diets out there that focus on eliminating carbs, or lowering carbs, or focusing on less processed carbs or lower glycemic index carbs.
There are good carbs, but most people eat high glycemic index, highly processed carbs, and in way too much excess.

@OP
Everyone's metabolism is bit different. People have different body types, genes, levels of daily activity, etc. Diet is too complex an issue to just boil it down to saying simply cutting out carbs or sugar or fatty food is the answer. Just saying 'X is bad' is really oversimplifying.

Depends on your level of physical activity, among other things.
Try going on a cyclic ketogenic diet, and observe what effect it has on both your weight and your mind~

The first few days suck. You get serious brain fog as your brain adjusts to burning ketones and your body will also try to make you feel tired to slow you down, since the body hates to burn fat. Once you get through that, though, you feel like the GOD DAMNED BATMAN.

I was on it for 2-3 weeks then took a break. I lost at least 10 pounds of fat in that time frame and put on muscle. I need to get back on it and get back to the gym.

What made you get off of it? Seriously considering it myself.

Addicted to carbs. They're like alcohol to alcoholics. Once you're off the wagon you gotta start all over again.
