Do you have it? Is it okay?

I have used it on several machines, it is pretty good to be honest. And it does seem slightly faster. I'll just respond to all the ill-informed privacy advocates that are going to hate on this post right now: Microsoft has backported all the spy updates. Windows 7 has them. Windows 8 has them. Unless you are the magical 0.00001% who had the foresight to vet every single windows update they install. If you're not in that group, privacy concerns are not a reason not to upgrade.
You can still cancel out of the update, I'm pretty sure that if it starts you can still abort it. It will keep nagging you, though. You can disable it further by disabling a bunch of updates and uninstalling some crap. It's a bit of a hassle, but google should help you out.

Yes, and yes. Make sure you go into settings and disable all the shit that Microsoft wants to track, but once you do that the OS feels smooth, responsive, reasonably intelligently designed and just overall decent. It probably meets the needs of 95% of all users. Inb4 nerds come in here and tell my why I am a fucking idiot corporate shill who should be using *obscure fork of a fork of a fork of linux*

yes, it's great, you need to be skipping the right generations.
xp was great, vista was shit, 7 was great, 8 was shit, 10 is great, the next one will be shit again. it's like intel's tic-toc development cycle, one of them is basically experimental and the next version is the most refined form of that version. you can either skip the "experimental" version or just stick with the alternate refined builds. although microsoft does seem to be changing up their strategy with ten. they may just start doing hundreds of smaller updated with few hard version changes rather than massive infrequent overhauls. we'll see.
but yes, 10 is great. it's like 7 but better, and things like quickaccess in the FileExplorer and the right click menu on the start button are features i use all the time, and those are things that 7 didn't have i don't think. it's got some nice intuitive features, so far this is (i was going to say probably, but no, it is) my favorite version of windows to date.

No. I don't see the point of touch screen laptops. That's what tablets are for
