Limbaugh: Jeb Bush could mount a convention comebackConservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday speculated that a Floridian will emerge as the Republican nominee at a contested convention in July.
Recent polls suggest John Kasich has a narrow advantage over Republican front-runner Donald Trump in Ohio, but the New York billionaire dominates Florida Sen. Marco Rubio in his state. Both states are holding winner-take-all primaries on Tuesday.
But Kasich doesn’t have a prayer of becoming the nominee, Limbaugh said, and it’s former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush — not Rubio — he says could win the nomination.
If neither Trump nor Ted Cruz win the necessary 1,237 delegates to win the Republican nomination outright, “I’m here to tell you Jeb Bush is gonna be the nominee,” Limbaugh warned, according to a transcript of his radio show. “That’s what they’re gonna do. That’s what they’ve always wanted.”
Limbaugh recalled Bush remarking in December 2014 that his strategy was to win the nomination despite losing primaries — something he planned to do by outspending his opponents. Limbaugh added that Bush, who left race in February, would escape the primary without having to talk about abortion, immigration or anything else that matters to Tea Party voters.
“He’s gonna win the nomination nevertheless,” Limbaugh said. “And it may well yet happen.”
If Bush doesn’t wind up with the nomination, Limbaugh said, it will be 2012 GOP nominee Mitt Romney who emerges. But in either scenario, Limbaugh stressed, it’s paramount for Kasich to win Ohio.

I see Kasich or Mitt Romney at a brokered convention. Both will lose in a 50 state landslide to Hillary. Funny though how when Romney made his little speech against Trump all the people who were crowing about Trump's casino bankruptcies ignored that 22% of companies Bain Capital took ownership in failed plus raided pension funds and jobs shipped overseas.

I sleep just fine at night actually. If anyone other than Trump runs, Trump will feel cheated and run third party, ruining any chance repubs might have had. He has said that numerous times. Also Kasich has a very narrow appeal. I doubt even half of repubs could have told you who he was before this election season, and beyond being the "moderate" when contrasted with Cruz or Trump, most people couldn't name a substantive policy position he has. And we know what happened to the previous two "moderate" establishment candidates. You can keep trying to make this Republican meltdown into a Democratic problem...but it isn't.

Trump would have a pretty legitimate grievance though if he came in with the most delegates and they gave it to Romney or Kasich. The problem is the delegate thing is like the electoral college. Do we want direct democracy or a (small r) republican system of indirect election? They should just scrap the delegate thing and let every voter be their own delegate and have one giant nationwide primary.

That's always the balance in a democratic republic, this is merely one instantiation of it. I would bet that if you had to pitch the idea to establishment Republicans, you would be angrily shoved out of the room. They do not like the candidates that their voting population chooses, and if being a little more "undemocratic" means they never have to face this kind of existential crisis, it's not really a close call. I agree he would feel cheated if he had the most delegates, but not quite a majority, and the Repubs nominate someone like Romney who didn't even run this year, or someone like Jeb! who dropped out and should by any fair ruleset, be disqualified from getting the nod.

At the time I thought it was a bad political move for Obama to drag his feet with the long-form certificate but in retrospect it was the right move showing strength and not caving to ridiculous demands.

Web is full of Billionairs that say they are not audited every year. Wot they are looking for in detail are deductions for charities - Deductions for legal services and losses on failed ventures
Noticed how Trump boasted about his Airline which went belly up yet Trump said he sold it at a profit - Yet web is loaded with the actually numbers of how poorly he did.

As I said for me its only for lulz and after all he did say he wood release them.
Now I fully admit I have taken legal advantage of tax deductions for equipment - office furniture albeit the rules for a home office are limiting. One of the HUGE holes in the tax code allow a business to invest in art for the office - Can be zillion dollar paintings at auction - The loop hole remains - Close that branch of a business or even just close it and KEEP the Art as personal and sell and collect cold hard cash - Yes one pays a tax at sale but the cost of the item ends up as FREE.
Also a couple of times when running a business for others - When the business needed influx of cash on the cheep - I hired quality CPA/Attorneys and I mean Attorney with a CPA and made sure they once worked for IRS - In order to walk that line to the very edge - Just inside the law to get away with all I could get away with n maybe MORE - BUTTTTT I used 100% of that money on tax savings to re-invest in the business - hire more people buy more equipment - larger building and IRS ended up with far more money than I saved at the front end
So I fully expect Trump to use every trick in the book - AND to come out and say Yep laws should be changed - Not looking to hang him or jail him - BUT there may be some shit that OTHERS can connect the dots with and people have ended up in deep trouble when dots are connected - Not that Trump wood cheet but ya never no given it happens all the tyme
