Bending has been forbidden in China and outlawed as it is seen as anti-Communist.

I thought it has to do with the main hero being inspired by Tibetans or that USAmerica basically called China liars with secret police.

They however still allow dog and cats to be stir fried in raw sewage oil. That is acceptable

China bans SpongeBob SquarePants, Mickey Mouse and Pokemon. Asking why Avatar the Last Airbender" banned in China? Why wouldn't it be.

Why Facebook is Banned in China
http://www.investopedia.com/articles/investing/042915/why-facebook-banned-china.asp

The question of whether Facebook could grow that user base was rendered moot in July 2009,

when the Chinese government blocked the site, claiming that it had played a key role in enabling separatist riots in China’s Xinjiang province.

You have an inside Hong Kong source to check with. Dicey place at best with so many bookshop owners kidnapped recently.
Wiki says
There is very little Internet censorship in Hong Kong beyond laws that criminalize the distribution of unlicensed copyrighted material and obscene images, particularly child pornography.. Hong Kong law provides for freedom of speech and press, and the government generally respects these rights in practice. Freedom of expression is well protected by the Hong Kong Bill of Rights.

No websites, regardless of their political views, are blocked and government licenses are not required to operate a website. There is some monitoring of the Internet. Democratic activists claim central government authorities closely monitor their e-mails and Internet use.

That's funny given this guy I met last semester is Chinese straight from China and he uses Facebook back home (not here). I'm sure he doesn't know how to proxy, so explain.

Facebook still allowed in HK

Not in rest of China. Says there are a few that use a powerful VPN to use it

Meowth replied with this 10 years ago, 3 hours later, 12 hours after the original post[^] [v] #660,976

So only outside of HK it is allowed?

Anonymous D replied with this 10 years ago, 2 minutes later, 12 hours after the original post[^] [v] #660,977

@previous (Meowth)
ONLY in HK outside of HK One small area is open and than Gov officials have access if they are of a high enough level.

And its a crime to access it from a proxy into USA - Prison if caught and people are caught and locked up on a regular basis

Ask your friend. I suspect most youth in China probably know how to work a proxy. Our exchange student was from Shanghai, and he said he doesn't bother with facebook at home because he has to proxy for it, and China has their own version of facebook where most of his friends are anyway.

He must have lived outside this 17 mile Shanghai zone

Wood probably want to use an account that works across all of China, anyway.
