Topic: Is the Raspberry Pi Zero good with streaming?

Anonymous A started this discussion 10 years ago #50,881

There is an experiment I want to conduct, but do not want to spend money just for an experiment. Seeing as the Zero model is marketed as the $5 model I figured I won't be losing out on money if I get that, but first I need to know. Does this extremely dirt cheap computer have the potential to at least run Chrome and stream video nicely?

Also, where the fuck do you buy just the board? Amazon only seems to have Raspberry Pi kits for the other models and the official distributors seem to be all European or sold out.

Dunno about the zero but the pi's typically have shit network io and disk io. So probably not, but who knows. Ask on the rpi fora.
