Since San Diego (in b4 Syntax) is a 2 hour drive from me.

I want to see some primates, ocelots, and meerkats.

i've been to the san diego zoo. it was a long time ago but it was very nice. probably the biggest, nicest zoo i've ever been to. probably totally worth the drive still. be sure to take a lot of pictures

Have you ever been to the San Diego Wild Animal Park too?

i don't remember. we went during a family vacation when i was pretty young. but i'm sure whatever they're doing today is just as good. isn't the san diego zoo regarded as one of the best in the world? or it used to be, i think.

It appears they changed the name of the "San Diego Wild Animal Park" to "San Diego Zoo Safari Park". I've been to both at least once when I was in Kindergarten. What is sad is that their website doesn't seem to have ocelots or chimpanzees, but they have a shitload of exotic animals like red pandas and such. They also have otters which should be fun to see. They're also much more expensive too.

Did ye catch this?

I remember a point in my hiking/mountain climbing where after many years - spotted the tail of a Mountain Lion - then years later in the distance just the body, between chaparral - Later a Head

And at the 25 year point a full Mountain Lion. Later in Canyon De Chelly, Arizona - Paw Prints in a desert stream - and as a group re became aware it was following us because we continued to see more prints BUT never did see the Lion itself.

Then few years later while backpacking in Sequoia National Park - Started out about 8PM on what was supposed to be a full moon - Ended up hidden by mountains so it was dark - 8 mile journey to campsite - Keep feeling that something was with me - but each time I took off pack and used flashlight - Nothing - Got kinda spooked stopping and looking and me thinks my brain refused to conclude that I was being stalked - Did not make it to camp re kinda out of energy - Went to sleep on rocks on a ledge and in morning Ranger woke me and said - Put on boots and come with me - On trail you could see Mountain Lion paw prints. He said he followed those prints from trail head to where I was sleeping -

That critter was with me all night - Damn good thing I never saw it with flashlight or me thinks I might have ended up inside critter.
