Trump has taken the strategy of playing to Americans' worst fears and anxieties to a new level, proposing deporting all undocumented immigrants and banning Muslims from entering the United States.
Trump's strategy does seem to have succeeded so far. Stations have granted him unprecedented attention and he leads the Republican field of presidential candidates.
Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims.
With this strategy he is leading with 33.2% Cruz 20.3% Rubio 16.7% Kasich 9.3% Carson 7.5%

About 10 years ago my friends and I were joking that the US would eventually have a reality TV show to nominate presidential candidates. I feel we're pretty close now.

Why is deporting illegal immigrants seen as racist?
