It tastes — I shit you not — EXACTLY like that closet wine I made with Welch's grape but with a watermelon Jolly Rancher in it. It's got that same sour yeasty taste and everything.

It is the finest beverage I have ever had.

So they stole your recipe?
It may be time to walk into their brewery with a minigun...

Is there any point in drinking it without the caffeine now? Might as well settle for wine coolers or mad dog 20/20 and red bull.

It's 12% ABV so I guess that's a reason to drink it. The moral panic over it was really retarded given the popularity of vodka and red bull, jack/rum and coke, kahlua coffee, etc. People acted like caffeine and alcohol was PCP or something. It's so disgusting though that no amount of caffeine will make up for it.

If that's the case you can save a lot of money by making closet wine with Welch's grape and baking yeast, since this is exactly what it tastes like.

I consulted with Becky and she advised me that the addition of artificial watermelon flavor legally makes it a different recipe so I have no grounds for a lawsuit :(

It's like a fine wine, like Charles Shaw.

The nanny state stuff is irritating, I mean, I can just take a caffeine pill when I start drinking, and I'm set. Although I maintain that Four Loko is still gross and on par with MD 20/20. I'm not really a drinker though apart from like maybe a couple beers here and there.

Ah, an exquisite hobo wine with a lovely bouquet that lets your palate know it was a bargain.

Is it nice? I'm not classy enough to shop at Trader Joe's. I'm more of a Walmart guy.

Agreed on all points. Especially the part about Four Loko being gross. I drink so much coffee (2 pots) a day that caffeine no longer has any discernable effect on me (apart from keeping withdrawal at bay) and so the caffeine wouldnt have made any difference in my Four Loko experience, anyway.

I can't believe you would even waste your money on that. Honestly though, before the formula change that shit is the only alcohol product that has ever made me hallucinate. I don't know what they used to put in it, but it's a lot different than it used to be. I would've bought a 40 instead.
