Lootcrate is probably the most known one and if you follow Ashens on YouTube then you are probably well aware of them. But now there seems to be a shitload of these mystery boxes from makeup to even food.

Well, now it appears that Microsoft and Mojang are getting in on the action, as they are introducing the MineBox for USAmericans.

No, I mean in Minecraft. Like during early alpha I think there was a special chest that could only be opened on a certain day and it was unbreakable.

They're terrible, but I guess it's sort of like scratch off lotto tickets or something in a way, people just get excited about it, when it's generally a disappointment. Meh. Give them banana stickers instead.

I almost signed up for one of those monthly boxes, from here, but then I decided I could waste the money elsewhere on stuff I actually wanted instead of maybe getting something I liked once a month.

I liked the treasure chests you get in runescape when you get the two halves of a key..
when I had a lot of money though I got bored and would just go the the Exchange and buy like a hundred keys and go try my luck..
