he won't be in the running.
i firmly believe he'll step aside for some reason and encourage his supporters to vote republican. i think he's effectively drumming up support from the fringes using extreme language and acting as a proponent for everything from torture to wars. he's saying everything his "political opponents" can't say, and then he'll push them off onto a more moderate republican candidate who'll probably sweep the election by having the uber crazy right wing and ultra religious folks pandered to while at the same time not scaring moderate republicans into hillary's gaping embrace. tbh my (inherently older) moderate republican acquaintances have talked about voting democrat because trump is just nuts, so i think a sane and moderate republican with trumps supporters already in pocket will be an easy sell.
imho trump running would be the only thing that'll keep a democrat in the white house. this wouldn't be the first time a very rich businessman meddled in presidential politics and helped to sway public opinion enough to change the roster at the top. George Bush Senior lost to Bill Clinton because Ross Perot snaked conservative voters from republicans and divided them into independent votes which both lost to the singly strong democratic vote. this time though Hillary will lose to [X Republican candidate] because donald trump will give the republicans the right and let them soft sell to the middle. watch.

also, that's the reason he started so early and isn't accepting donations. he started early because he doesn't want to completely interfere with republicans after the nomination and work (like ross perot) to derail things during the election. he's derailing things while it's not important, and probably when he doesn't get the republican nomination he'll withdraw. he won't run as an independent, he can't win that way and he knows it. but he can win by being a king maker. big time.
and since his plan isn't to actually run he's not taking campaign contributions and "spending his own money." he doesn't want to cut into money that the actual republican candidates need to make a strong show. so he runs a blusterous campaign that rides on his infamy more than his money and he gets a fuck load of free publicity and he spreads the most outrageous right wing message he can to firm up the entirety of the conservative base.
you're welcome, [X Republican Candidate], now Ivanka wants to be a diplomat in europe, i'm sure that you can put in a good word for her.
watch.

I think bet fair users have old people bias and are stuck in Hillary vision
The people not betting will come out and vote for trump and you'll all eat your hats
And the only hats left will say Make America Great Again

Perhaps. On the other hand if you were to take a look at multiple prior elections and look at the results? And I do NOT mean just the who won. For instance Betfair and Nate Silver ended up with almost the same results. Nate was off by 1% re one State outcome. Betfair was 50 out of 50 in 2008 http://www.huffingtonpost.com/keith-thomson/the-most-accurate-electio_b_140181.html
Go back to 2004 or 2012 and look at how spot on they were. Now the fact is The top current Rep Dem candidates are somewhat old - 68 to 74 years old. A lot can go wrong. Not that I want to think about such buttttttt its long way to that Nov election.

Betting on the election is illegal unless you have a foreign address and bank account. To say that people who are not betting will come out and vote is somewhat misleading.

No one is going to come after me because I do pay IRS - State and Au taxes. There are 3 maybe more ways to legally put money on elections in USA.
University of Iowa Henry B. Tippie College of Business faculty as an educational and research project - Limited to $850 for a single transaction - You can however bet on say Nevada and then another later primary and take your money or not and then the Nov race - I have not used them but Iowa is well respected. https://tippie.uiowa.edu/iem/
PredictIt is a real-money political prediction market; the stock market for politics. A project of Victoria University of Wellington

Ya - Odd how so far the turn outs for the entertainment have not translated to actual votes by Repubs or Dems currently - Bernie ends up in deeep doo doo re kids have stuff to do during spring break https://www.predictit.org/

I have to give him credit. His conversion from Liberal Democrat to pretending he is a 2 Corinthians Christian who now courts Tea Party conservatives. Even is honest enough to admit he pretends to support say Hillary by inviting her and Hubby to his wedding. For sure this is a fairy tail come true for him. Only problem for him is the same for Curz. Cruz has a mass of people that HATE him. Trump the same.
However polls like that were the cause of Romney to think up to the very last few hours the day of the election he was going to win.

I like this theory, but Trump seems to be intent on alienating everyone who isn't WASPy enough. Seriously, how are you drumming up support by systematically insulting every major demographic the GOP might want?

@previous (J) > Seriously, how are you drumming up support by systematically insulting every major demographic the GOP might want? Exactly
Currently 65.4% of Republicans are against him - Of course the other problem is that 34.9% are locked in battle between Cruz n Rubio.
In the end its more than possible that Trump gets the nomination because Republicans will be forced to suck cock and give in.
Just reported that Republican party has lost a mass of registered voters in Calif. Trumps home state New York has STRONGLY voted for Dems since 1998

my friend has the same theory kinda, except his is that trump is saying outlandish shit because he's realized hes in over his head and just wants to go home, so he's constantly saying the worst shit you could say in an effort to turn people off
yours sounds better though, haha fuck i hope its true.
