Pure Burger, Carlsbad
10 Minutes away. Odd how often I have been to the Trader Joes across the street from that joint but have not paid any attention - No one I no's has been there.
Hodads Ocean Beach Yes.
The others are mostly LA fast food and when I am in LA other than Farmers Market for events I am not there to eat fast food. Odd that the Food truck featured in Anthony Bourdain's Korea Town program is not even mentioned. Choi's Kogi BBQ Taco Truck.
I have gone out of my way down here for events that have 10 or more famous local food trucks. One that does Lobster stuff that is amazing. Just up my own Coast Hwy is a Lobster Roll place that is terrific. Other than Tacos and the occasional In n Out burger - I do not often eat Fast foods.

I used to spend a lot of time around Ventura and up through lompoc. I like to think we stopped at the same strawberry stand at least once, but I don't remember any creepy old illiterate men.

Don't remember every buying strawberries in Lompoc or Ventura - other than they do sell Chocolate covered Strawberries at the Simi Cajun festival.
Suspect I have seen you holding that sign begging for money at one of the Lompoc freeway exits. Sorry life sucks for ya

Syntax claims to have invented the burger establishment when, pressed for time while negotiating the Treaty of Versailles, he accidentally left his lunch of steak tartare on a hot radiator. Running late for his appointment with Woodrow Wilson, he hurriedly slipped the cooked meat patty between two Kaiser rolls and ran off. When he got back to America, having no time to develop the business, he gave the recipe to a young Ray Kroc and the rest is history.

You could have stopped a cop and had your parents arrested.
