I don't care about following channels. I have not found a single one where I would be consistently interested in the videos as they are released. I only use YouTube's search when I am looking for something specific.
In general, YouTube videos also have way too much useless padding and I can't tell if its good other than wasting time watching it.

If you are dumb, that's how you would do it. It's much better to let time itself take care of it by simply stumbling upon videos, if you like a video, check out the channel.

Because music is more important to me than watching recordings of other people playing games or autists talking about things nobody else cares about.
Also, there was a time when I would have to restart my browser in order to watch them because flash is a piece of shit and would crash if it wasn't loaded up at the same time as everything else.

This. When I do watch a YouTube video I often have to skip 2-3 minutes into the video to get to what the video's actually about. Not to mention the number of videos with blurry/shaky camera, wind noise, people with annoying voices, shitty editing, etc.
