The “mummy portraits” date to more than 2,000 years ago, when the Roman Empire controlled Egypt.

Identities of the boy and two men in the portraits are unknown. All three portraits, for instance, included a purple shoulder sash that the artist painted with a blend of indigo and a red pigment derived from the madder plant.

is it so hard for you to believe that black people played any role but slave in your history that you have to whitewash an African nations history? how does three portraits of Roman Egyptians from that period - super common - prove anything about the blackness of the country? Egypt was an extraordinarily integrated place at that time.

But they weren't always Romans, and many of them were what people today would consider black, but I also don't want to racialize history where it's not important. And it's not, here. we have tons and tons of depictions of Egyptians throughout history, it's not like this is a real argument
The only interesting thing about this is how hard you will try to erase any vestige of black history/power. European presence in Ptolemaic Egypt and onward isn't groundbreaking, and doesn't make Egypt white, or uniformly anything, and it doesn't matter

I'm not trying to erase anything. I'm amused at how modern blacks feel so inscure that they need to alter histroy to make it seem they played a bigger, grander part while keeping up the "we're the victims" narative.

Svet asked me not to share this, but this latest outburst makes me want to explain why he makes these topics.
Svet has mentioned that he did not finish school. What he did not mention is that this was because one day he had a complete meltdown when his class got a black substitute teacher. He refused to go back to the school system after this, as he was too afraid he would have to interact with other races. As you can see, this mindset has continued well into adulthood.
