> How do I know which in is the 'inside' of the lens?
When you put it on the end of your finger, the edges should go straight up. If they flare out then it's been flipped isnide out
> How the fuck do i get the fuckers out?
What I do is put my finger on them in the same way I put them in and drag down, but some people squeeze them between the fingers and lift them. I'm scared of squeezing my eye though so I don't do that.

Here's a simple guide.
You want it to look like "YES".

Eh, all that will do is dry them out and make them dirty. Just put them in saline solution.

That's fine. Just clean them after you drop them.
Stick it on the top bit of your finger. Pull your lids so that your eye is really wide open, like the pic. And stick in the contact. Move it around a little on your eye - gets out any air bubbles, and makes sure it's properly in.
:/ They should have shown you this when you got them.

I had this problem when I started with contacts. You just have to do it for a bit. It is awesome to feel like you have normal eyes again.

It'll take you a really long time to get used to it. Try using your sleeve or a piece of cloth to pull down your lower lid. Helped for me.
And be really close to a mirror.
See if you can ask for a lesson. They're supposed to give you one.

it might also help to put it on the end of a needle or toothpick and then put it into your eye so you will have more balance and control. It is safer that way also.

I've been wearing contacts for years. Stick one to the mirror and pry your eye open. Running start. Face-plant. You're welcome.

Use the second finger on you right hand (the first finger with the contact) to pull down the lower lid as far as you can. Then use the second finger on your left hand to do the same with your upper eye. It's easier if you look at yourself in a mirror when you do it, but I never do.
