afaik there's not a retail VR headset available atm. you can preorder the consumer rift right now for like 600 bucks and the vive comes out in april. pretty sure those are the two big dogs in VR right now.
anyway, this year they're coming out and they're going to be expensive. next year they'll probably be on shelves everywhere and more affordable. this christmas might be a big deal for VR, but if not, then next year it'll be the gift to have.
