Topic: Has anyone here ever been treated/had surgery for a deviated septum

I was in a car crash a few years ago and my septum kind of broke and now does a j-hook to the right. I asked the doc after the crash and she kind of insisted it was fine but it's been like a year and i am always congested and lately I've been getting a lot of nosebleeds
I looked into my nose and the passage on my problem nostril is constricted to like a fraction of the opening of the other nostril
so I think I have a problem and I don't know much about it and surgery sounds scary
So have u had one
Did u take nose meds
