And replace it with a 100% subsidy on a Bronze plan? They could put it so the premiums and deductible were 100% subsidized at poverty level or below (ie zero out of pocket cost), and then put the subsidy on a sliding scale so it phases out by 200% poverty level.
The medicaid gap just seems so inelegant. This would eliminate Medicaid entirely and they could use the 475 billion savings to pay for it.

Bernie has some kind of commie plan to solve everyone's health problems. He raises the tax's on everyone and redistributes the wealth. Gov only takes 66% as is typical for overhead.

Much of the western developed world has that plan. We each pay a small amount of tax to help the sick, injured, and needy. When something happens to us, we are taken care of.
It's like living in a christian society, without having all the christians complain about helping the less fortunate.

I was not really putting down the idea of a national plan. I do often see complaints from people in Canada and UK about the quality of care.
USA its all about the power of lobby's to block most improvements. Medicare cannot by law even negotiate drug prices.
