Most of the loss of my abilities appear to be in the domain of processing speed, if I'm to give an intuitive guess.

You use eleven words where two would suffice, and you've never met an adjective you didn't like. I actually cannot read any posts of yours that are longer than a paragraph or two because my eyes glaze over when I try to retain all the words you cram into each lexical clown car you call a sentence.
