Yet the fruits of my labour, the produce of my toil? It is hardly mine, it is as much mine as the air that surrounds me, apparently. Oh yes, those bandits clad in suits and waving flags, they've got the nerve to take a fraction of it and put it towards sending secret things into space, or to buy a bullet that will go into a desperate bearded mans skull.
These veritable bandits, more commonly known as the "government", are hosting a highly publicized game of musical chairs on the eighth. They call it an election, and they pretend that we, the citizens, can do something to fix the perpetual mess we're in. En masse, Canadians across the country are going to vote in the hopes that their lives will be improved by the honeyed words that drip from their tongues.
But a silver togue hides fangs very well, and little ever really changes. They'll slowly attack our "freedoms" until there is nothing left. As they grant us them as a slavemaster might grant his slaves a handful of privileges, or perhaps as a snob may grant a homeless man change. It is sickening, and due to years of indoctrination at every corner, people are content in their slavery. Content to lack true freedom, and content to have their lives ruled and micromanaged by men slimier than mushrooms.
I don't like it. Not one bit, not one single bit. I want freedom, I want a black flag. Not red tape, pointless laws and victimless crimes. I want to own a handgun, I want to snort cocaine off of a prostitute's chest on my front yard, I want my money to be 100% mine, I want the simple ability to say 'fuck it' to school without repercussions. I want freedom, true freedom. Freedom to do as I please, freedom to make bad decisions, freedom to fuck up, freedom to reap what I sow, freedom to be a pariah.
I want freedom. Not this shit that those strange bandits, and as that election rears its putrid head, I'll be doing something. To vote and vote properly is to consent to this disgrace. To check off a candidate is to say "Yes sir, please rape my face.", so, what I will be doing is sitting at home, or perhaps spoling the ballot. Not because I am lazy and don't give a fuck, not because I am a bad citizen. But, purely because I don't want to give any consent to this damnable election. Well, I would be if I was of age, any ways. I don't give a shit about Canada as an entity, nor do I respect whatever it is. What is Canada, apart from a bunch of abritary lines on a map? Nothing.
On the off-chance that anyone reads this, they might go "hurr durr, what about third world countries?"
I understand their plight and sympathize with them very much, after all, it's the mucking of other governments that has caused much of the world to live in poverty and fight strange, silly wars. If everyone left everyone the hell alone, there would be very, very few problems in the world. But no, the big guys must always pick on the little guys. Fuck the European empires for raping Africa, and fuck Israel for half of the problems in the Middle East, and fuck the United States for the other half.
I am very fine with rules and order, I just don't think anyone or anything has the right to arbitrarily impose them over anyone without their explicit consent. ‎...Which is what the government does, based off of etremely questionable things like the social contract. Not cool man, not cool.
And, humans are social animals that are built to rely on each other. There will never, ever be a lack of order and rules. It's just, what I envision is one where all the rules are followed, well, just because it'd be strange not to. Like, murder. People will never do that randomly because of guilt, because of the consequences if they're found out, and many other things. Along with stealing and the like. All the real crimes, the victimless crimes, don't happen much because we're not monsters by nature. And if they are happening frequently, that is because there is a disturbance in social order. The other things that are illegal, like, oh, shit, smoking weed or owning a handgun, wouldn't matter as they're completely victimless.
