what stats did you pick up? you know how perks work, right? be sure to not start stacking stat points, get perks early on. there's some really good perks to grab in the beginning and you spend the same points on perks that you spend on stats.

also, regardless of your intellect you want the Luck Perk Idiot Savant. you especially
need it if you're rolling a low int build. tbh it seems like int doesn't come into play until more mid/late game so you can wait to stack int up to the good science perks for crafting. i think you need a certain level of crafting anyway and there's lockouts by experience level, so, i think int in the 20s and probably 30s is where it starts to really count.
i may be wrong about that, but, my build had perks to take up almost every point i earned until the low 20s, then i had points to burn and i dumped them into strength to get my wearables crafting up to snuff. once i hit the upper 20s and low 30s i had perks to buy but after that i had more to burn which i started to dump into int to get my science crafting bonus and all of that.
pretty much early on i focused on my main chosen stats and grabbed strong perks from them. i basically maxed one trait and half of another (agility and luck) and then put the rest into charisma and strength. i really should have ignored charisma because i didn't perk it for a while.

I wanted to see how difficult it'll be to put a majority of my points on luck and now I want to stick with the character I created because I re-created myself.

It won't stay that way. If you play the game normally, it gets too damn easy once you've played for a while.
