Ideal safe zone is Utah and some parts of Arizona.

The only golf facility in Syria is located 10 miles to the south east of Damascus, just off the road to the international airport, and it’s an 18-hole course that lies within the grounds of the Ebla Cham Palace hotel. During construction in 2001, four lakes were built, thousands of trees were planted and more than half a million cubic yards of soil was trucked in to add some movement to a largely flat 150-acre site.
Looks ideal for a safe zone.

You guys ought to get out there ASAP. The refugees' situation is now so desperate that Syrian fathers are selling their virgin daughters for less than a $1000, so that the rest of the family can move to a "safe" zone. OK, you'll have to marry her to make it legal, but this is probably the only chance you'll ever have to own a submissive, domesticated female who'll do anything you tell her without complaint.
