I read that at a mere 25 frames per second, raw 4k gets you maybe 128 minutes with 1 terabyte of storage. What the fuck do people store their vieos on? And for that matter, why the fuck do tiny sucking screeens need 4k when I can' teven see that good?

Maybe that's completely uncompressed, or possibly completely wrong, but I've read that 128 minutes of 4K video takes up about 48 GB of data. They're not commercially available yet, but they're working on dual layer and quad layer Blu-ray discs that will be called Ultra Blu-ray since they'll have the capacity for 4K, and Ultra Blu-ray players with the firmware to play them.

Standard Blu-ray is 24 formatted, dual layer Blu-ray is 48. They're working on 96 GB quad layer to ensure that movies over 2 hours will still fit on one disc.
