Now I decided to check out the movie inspired by a "controversial" new book of the same name to see what the commotion was all about and while I would say that some of the S&M scenes were arousing for someone like me who feels as if it was done too lightly and with more masochistic tastes. The movie was offly too quiet. I wouldn't say boring as there was at least enough plot to keep one slightly intrigued, but it was just too quiet to the point where you could fall asleep to it.
I used to question how a sequel could be made, but now I understand. It is because the movie ended abruptly and left you wondering where the story was going to lead after that, although it would have been very predictable regardless. It's like they purposely setup for a sequel that may or may not even be made.
