The ones I use are mostly Podcast Addict and CM Browser.
I have some other games and little things to waste time while I wait.
I use some SDLink scripts (requiring rooting, busybox, and init.d editors or Link2SD actually works like a charm, but you still need to root the device) because Android has become so weird about storing shit on the SD card since Jellybean that you have to fool it into making links between the internal storage and an ext<whatever> file system on a separate partition of your SD card. It's easy to do, but what the actual fuck Google?? Seriously? Are you going to make me do this shit? I've been using Linux for decades, and I can go and edit scripts to mount file systems. But my friends are just disappointed that what they were told isn't true. The ads said 16GB expandable to 64 additional GB, but no one ever mentioned that they actually couldn't put any fucking apps on that new space. WOW! 64 GB for photos and video! Yay! Spoiler alert: not what they fucking wanted
Anyway, Android is so workable that you can just do whatever with it. So I manage because I'm fairly computer literate and understand what a file system is. My friends don't. The average guy in street doesn't. It doesn't much work out in the end, but could you maybe make that a feature that regular people could opt into or something Google?

In android 6 you can use the card for apps again, but it requires r encrypting of formatting or something that makes it so you can't use the card with any other devices.

Mostly history podcasts. Scott Chesworth of the Ancient World podcast is currently doing a series called Bloodline that I'm really enjoying, and I'm currently binge listening The History of English podcast. Mike Duncan of The History of Rome podcast is doing a series called Revolutions that is pretty fun. The British History Podcast is awesome. There are a bunch more, but anything where I can get an interesting narrative while learning stuff is great.

Several mtg apps!
Forge- play mtg on your phone! Has like 99% of all cards and rules enforcement and you can play vs AI. Network play is slowly coming along though broken at the moment.
MTG Familiar- life counter, dice roll, and trading reference all in one! With the full MTG rulebook included among other stuff.
John GBA and John GBC. Gameboy classic/advance emulators with speeds up to 16x and down to .25x. Only problem is my phone can't map both save state to down volume AND load state to up volume like I want. I need to shoot the dev an email about that. Could do it before but some update broke the functionality.
