i can't get enough of it

In this artwork, the horse is a symbol for the plutocrat. The plutocrat believes that his will is the correct will, and any effort to oppose his will is met with a scorched earth response. For example, if workers even hint that they would like to bargain collectively, the plutocrat pays politicians to take measures to end unions and outsources work to foreign countries.

No. To ensure a stable and endurable society, there must be checks and balances. There must be no heavily lopsided concentrations of power. There needs to be several pockets of power that monitor and mitigate the effects of ecah other, like how biological feedbacks in the body maintain homostasis. There needs to be a sizable and healthy middle class for stability, or else you get coups and revolutions over and over again alternating with awful tyranny.

> No.
Okay, let's meticulously examine positions in a piecemeal fashion...
> To ensure a stable and endurable society, there must be checks and balances.
Those are organic to a system; sociological contrivances of this sort, especially when imposed from above, will ensure your next statement...
> There must be no heavily lopsided concentrations of power.
...is moot.
> There needs to be several pockets of power...
Power isn't a mutually exclusive entity that has the ability to repel each other's influence through conflicted interest. Scarily enough, it is always in these vested interest's own to find common grounds, like some Venn-inspired, Byzantine nightmare.
> Biological feedback...
The biological metaphor is bullshit. C.S. Lewis should be shot.
> ...needs... sizable and healthy middle class...
To Marx's credit, this is where he was accurate about the perfidiousness of the petit-bourgeoisie and its absorption of the peripheral upper-proletariat, and vice-versa as a recurring chain upwards to the highest echelons, within its own monopolistic processes.

Destroying unions and moving away from USAmerican made products and labor made the rich richer and the country broken. Those savings made by outsourcing and using cheap flimsy materials were not passed on to the consumer... That's not how greed works

Unions are what drove manufacturers to search for cheaper labor overseas in the first place.

> Those savings made by outsourcing and using cheap flimsy materials were not passed on to the consumer.
Really? That's strange, it certainly doesn't look like Wal-mart is charging 1000% markup on the products they sell.

> Unions are what drove manufacturers to search for cheaper labor overseas in the first place.
No. Profits are.

Decreasing the labor price, is what unions are fighting against. They want their members to be paid well, and to gain gradual increases as the company grows and expands. What unions want are iPhone factories in the USA. USAmericans working safely, happy, and paid fairly, with time off etc etc. Unions want that because unions are made up of workers.

What Apple wants, for example, is profits. There's no way their profits would be so astronomically high if they played by the rules and considered the environment, worker health, paid taxes, etc. If there is a way to squeeze more profit out of anything, they have a team actively working on who they are going to fuck over, and in which country the laws and loopholes allow them to do that.

You do understand that a union is just a group of workers joining together to collectively bargain right? It's not some secret society that fights corporations and organizes strikes to stick it to the man. A worker is a soldier and the union is the army. Without having an army, each individual soldier would be almost completely ineffective fighting on their own, because they need to work together to gain ground.

because it reads like standard politician/commentator stuff we hear

and it's weird that you mention Wal*Mart in a defensive way, given what we know about the family that runs it
