yeah that always pissed me off
worse is when there was a really good album and then you buy the next one thinking it should be as solid, but it's shit for whatever reason, such as whoever made the earlier one sound good left and had nothing to do with the second one
and you paid like 20 dollars
that's food money
so now I listen to tracks on youtube and eventually decide I like the material generally enough to get a CD, or every CD they ever put out
then I find out there is no CD, or it's rare and 25+ dollars, or worse you can only buy it in vinyl
shitty scratchy vinyl
and don't tell me to pay for digital files with no actual robust physical object to show for it

In my opinion, if you pay for digital, you're entitled to pirate a flac version and burn it at the very least. Otherwise, yeah, fuck digital. I ain't paying someone to rip a CD for me.

Not to mention you can download something to disable the ads without paying for a subscription based service, I've used YouTube in the past, but Spotify is excellent for music from artists which are more unknown.
