In June, Microsoft also updated Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and the April 2014 Windows 8.1 Update - the supported versions of those editions - with the same diagnostics and telemetry service used in Windows 10.
hope everyone took the time to opt out

Yep. Everyone whining about win10 is either:
1) Not using windows at all. Raise your hand if you fall in this category. Oh, no one?
2) Stupid (You probably fall into this category, but keep reading)
3) Not paying attention to the updates they install to windows 7 and 8, because if they were they'd realize these updates have been backported a long time ago
4) Selectively installing updates to windows 7 and 8. This may work for a while, but eventually your system will get fucked up as you are lacking required updates for new ones. Have fun!
5) Not installing updates at all for their windows install. This is the most stupid thing you can do, and will get you infected with malware sooner rather than later.
