I, for one, hated salvia and would never dare subject myself to it again. The fact that it essentially paralyzes your body effected me very negatively.

Sure. I had several bad trips, actually. My friends really seemed to enjoy it, and it was often around so I thought that maybe I just needed to give it a few more chances. Well, each time it was absolutely awful. The only way I can describe it is that it felt as if I had been transported to a whole different dimension and like pins and needles were going through my body (it didn't necessarily hurt, though). I mainly remember not being able to move one inch--a similar sensation when sleep paralysis occurs. In my experience, I've noticed that males tend to enjoy it more than females, but that doesn't exactly mean much.

@603 (F)Haha did you feel really heavy etc? Im really stoned, but ive read that salvia binds (or whatever) with certain opiate receptors in your brain, but they somehow dont stay attached, so you feel the bodyhigh that you also get when you use heroin but only for a short period.

so a bad trip only lasts 30 minutes, but dont start thinking about bad trips and shit like that, its all in your head man.

Not very long. The intense high tends to only last about 3-7 minutes, but you feel a slight stoney "afterglow" afterwards. I don't know what the guy above me is talking about, I never had a 30 minute salvia high. That would have been hell on Earth.

@previous (F)Lol maybe you should get better salvia. The first and only time i did salvia i took several bong hits of salvia, then when the effects started to wear off but still tripping i took more salvia. It was a fun hour. I really dont see how you could go bad on salvia, its trippy and pretty intense, but thats why you do it, its what you expect. Maybe next time you should just chill the fuck out, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Nah. I tried several different strengths (10X, 20X, and 30X) and I never enjoyed it. Maybe it didn't last too long because I would only ever rip the bong once, but oh well, idgaf. I know what drugs I like and salvia is not included. It's different for everyone.
