Topic: benign indifference is better for the psyche than mere tolerance

To me, tolerance leaves the door open to seething with obsessed loathing, though quietly to yourself. Energy is wasted regardless. With benign indifference, you're all, "ehh fuck it, got stuff to do" and you don't even give it much thought. I would rather that my digestive system have a benign indifference to lactose than mere tolerance.
That isn't to say that intolerance is always inadvisable. On the contrary, some things require decisive and complete annihilation when encountered, things that themselves lack the virtue of benign indifference to that which is desirable and necessary to well being.
