That's actually how Zulus translate or rather, simplify in lost context, their substitute meaning for the word 'fact' in their language, which was added post-colonialism anyway. It's not indigenous to their mental calculus.

Broadly speaking, one can explain the numbers as being because black people are disadvantaged, or because there is something more fundamentally wrong with blacks.

Racism is a very perverse problem in the country, and it can shape beliefs very subtly. Psychological tests have shown (essentially) racist beliefs in very young children.

exactly. they had zero connection to that continent and most of them here were already 10th generation americans. africa wasn't "home" to them, it was an entirely foreign place. and chances are actually pretty good that most white people can track their family roots to coming here much later than a lot of blacks. blacks have deeper and longer roots in america than most whites.

I'd venture to guess there's something wrong with the culture. We've seen cases of black families functioning normally as part of society, but they do not exhibit the behavioral traits that 'street' blacks do. Perhaps these behaviors are simply not conducive to living as part of a community?

Blacks have problems with critical thinking and problem solving. Only exceptionally gifted blacks are STEMs graduates. Blacks aren't failing out of schools because of racism, they are failing because they aren't as good as those around them.

If, as they say, all humans migrated from Africa, I would view this migration as an evolutionary progression toward a higher state of critical thinking in that conditions were not satisfactory and better conditions were desired, hence an exodus toward something that surely must be better.
However there were obviously those who chose not to leave, as they were too lazy or too stupid to hit the high road. No desire whatsoever for the betterment of their kind. Nothing more than primal existence, no critical thinking. They chose not to evolve and have not to this day.
