So... some iron age population thought they were their God's chosen people. That didn't really work out. (see: Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Neo-Assyrians, Neo-Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Malmuks, Crusaders, Islam (Islam again, under the Caliphate), Ottomans, British, etc.)
I don't see how these writings implicate the Jewish people in anything. If anything they just got fucked over again and again. The writings are obviously post-bronze age collapse fairly tales, and the Jews really got the fucking short end of the stick even if they made it seem like they did some stuff way back when. So it's a little weird to blame them for something someone wrote over a millennia ago.

what blame, it's just what's in the Old Testament as translated from the Torah (wiki: the Torah consists of the foundational narrative of the Jews: their call into being by God, their trials and tribulations, and their covenant with their God, which involves following a way of life embodied in a set of moral and religious obligations and civil laws)
