Topic: Trump in a Freudian social analysis

Denmark guy !jJEom8Ii3E started this discussion 10 years ago #48,647

What does the rise of trump mean if a amateur Freudian analyzed the situation? I don't know but I will pretend to know anyway, bitch.

The most noteworthy thing about trump is that some of his supporters don't support anything he says. I believe many felt it to be extreme to deny immigration based on faith, yet didn't care when trump came up with such a policy that does just that. Even with constant criticism in the media, trump does good.

It's thus my opinion that trump is the symbolic fight against what freud called the super ego. In a democracy you will find different groups fighting for their cause, causes that are not only political but also psychological. According to freud there are three "drives" that rule us in various balance:

1) the id. The id is only concerned with primary desires.

2) the ego. The ego is a drive within us that makes the id (and the super ego) be more realistic in their interaction with the world. The id might want sex right now but the ego knows it's better to convince the girls first.

3) the super ego. The super ego is a internalized authority figure. The ego might know that it's best to have consensual sex but the super ego might shame you into getting married first.

So the id is like a baby that wants everything right now.

The ego is a pragmatic wingman trying to help the id

And the super ego is the asshole that says it's not right to be out this late and drinking.

Sometimes one of those drivers get way to strong. When trump hates on political correctness, he hating on the super ego.

There's nothing superegotistical about political correctness. My reading of neo-conservative Jewish psychiatrists in my time has told me as much.

PC is always about making the world better except nothing you ever do is enough. It's also very authoritarian, always demanding a "social awakening" that everyone must be a part of.

PC in the form we know it today, is the very manifestation of the super ego.

PC only purports to be, but is entirely otherwise an externalized social virtues signalling apparatus, that doesn't bode and could never with the superego's requirement for internalization of the real thing.
There's nothing about PC that's a manifestation of anything and everything about it that's contrived imposition in its entirety.

He's not the only Freudian here. I support his (Denmark guy's, as founded on Freud's principles) framework but find his conclusion misguided.

Minichan doesn't have a culture. I'm re-establishing one from the ground up, as I had Tinychan during its brief 2013 renaissance.

One giveth, thus one taketh away; Tinychan, it's worth bearing in mind, died with my fall from presence there.

What elaboration do you require? It's clear that I have addressed the greatest weakness in your conception of the third Freudian motive-force.

Actually that's the fairest assessment I've seen made on Killer Lettuce's behaviour ever.

Except you underestimate the frequency and extent with which he does it; usually all of his liberal vacuosity is motivated by a desire to see everything he wants to be seen regarded as 'fair' in the world, in the most autistic application of a pseudo-moral, wrongly-internalized set of systematic quasi-values.

It's perhaps why the feminists bothered expanding special education to encompass the masculinity-pathologied autist to begin with. To place spackers like him in its confines.

I don't tell this to people often because in the case of native English speakers they're usually willfully ignorant retards who know fully well they've encountered the individual words I've used before, but lack the general intelligence to contextualize them.

You, on the other hand, seem like a fairly clever guy. Just use Google to get definitions.

Well based on Google it's still hard to fully understand.

PC isn't the super ego because it's only a expression of values?

In so many words, and the superego as you've defined needs pre-existing internalizing of those values.
This is incompatable with PC's artificiality.
