This world has mountain ranges, craters, liquid water lakes, ice, snow, and it's own weather system.
Not to exclude blue skies.

It doesn't feel right that such a lively world wouldn't have some form of life.

I'm pretty sure there are extraterrestrial fungi that call themselves the "Mi-Go" and have named the planet "Yuggoth". They might exist there. Sometimes they send brain canisters. Their heads glow in different colors to communicate. It's a pretty grim life at 55 degrees Kelvin on the sunlight side. There are rumors of subsurface oceans, but it's a little speculative.
