University of the People
You have to apply to get in, which is easy- proof of HS/GED completion, and a small fee (no more than $50) to get in depending on where you live.
Besides the one-time fee there is no tuition.
You can get a degree, but they are not accredited yet. If they ever do become accredited your degree will also be valid.
It's a great idea IMO, and would force other universities and colleges to compete with lower prices.

I really like that too, but it's just a collection of videos and some mathematics practice.
With UoP they take the same steps real colleges do, they check to make sure you are eligible (2ndary education) and offer degrees, which at some time may become accredited.
UoP is an improvement upon Khan Accademy, and maybe they can merge, and Khan can be a teacher at UoP some time, and merge some of the practice software, and incorporate the videos.

The actual statistic for maine is like 98% white or something. I think Asians moving into Portland this year made it 97.5%

Learning. And the possibility of getting a real degree in the future isn't a bad thing.
Many IRL schools do not start out accredited, but people still attend, later the university has a good record and can get accreditation.
