If you pay attention to the sofas sold to the public after world war two, you notice how much more plump and soft they have become. Who made this phenomenon happen? To what end? In present day, for decades now, it has become standard for the common man to lounge about in his home, reclined and fat, even sleeping, rather than work at bettering his surroundings. I would say the sofa has even encouraged the ordinary layabout to indulge in the drugging and doping that serves to keep him on that sofa and not at gainful employment.

I think so which is why I sit in chairs. Notice how history's most 'get up and go' characters are hardly ever seen in a sofa. Hitler for example.
