he'll talk about gun violence and probably talk about gun control. he might as well, he's as lame duck as they come. the next guy isn't going to get shit done either so might as well make a big push for it now while literal terrorists are buying legal guns and modifying them illegally for maximum death count. even though the gun mods failed, the easy conversions are about to be on the table.
i think whatever measures he proposes will just fall flat, but i think they're about to at least sabre rattle and end up raising the cost of guns and ammunition. If you've ever wanted to (or felt the obligation to) own an "assault rifle" this might be your last opportunity to do it "cheaply." it'll also be a great idea to stock up on your favorite ammunition as well, there's about to be a run on the bank and it's going to get expensive and rare.
everything will be back to normal eventually except prices probably won't go down and licensing might become a requirement. and it's entirely possible it's already too late, since the speech is on sunday come monday the panic will be driving sales in a big way. always happens everytime there's a president that even mentions gun control, gun sales skyrocket.
