Topic: There is Web 2.0, but what is Web 3.0?

Anonymous A started this discussion 11 years ago #48,106

What version of the World Wide Web are we currently using?

Are we still on Web 2.0 or have there been updates?

When will Web 3.0 get here and what do you suppose it will be like?

@629,052 (A)
i had a good pic for this but since medium does not have a history i cannot find it.
basically it went: web 1.0 content consumption, web 2.0 content interaction, web 3.0 something something and then something else.

Augmented reality wearable tech streams web 3.0 adverts onto the objects around us.

Facebook bought the vr goggles, but magic leap is like Google glass and vr mixed and projects 3d holograms onto your eyes that line up with the surface of your desk. Or some shit. Magic leap seems awesome and I want one.

web 1.0 was neckbeards making web pages in notepad or frontpage.
web 2.0 was interactive web pages and dynamic content
web 3.0 is social media every-fucking-where and extensively datamining it for the purpose or marketing
