What you're refering to as genitals, is in fact, BRAIN/Genitals, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Brain plus Genitals. Genitals is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning BRAIN system made useful by the BRAIN corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by Science.

Many users run a modified version of the BRAIN system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of BRAIN which is widely used today is often called Genitals, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the BRAIN system, developed by the BRAIN Project.

There really is a Genitals, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Genitals is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Genitals is normally used in combination with the BRAIN operating system: the whole system is basically BRAIN with Genitals added, or BRAIN/Genitals. All the so-called Genital distributions are really distributions of BRAIN/Genitals!

how would a study determine such without having complete knowledge of the entirety of the brain, every stupid little speck

which we don't have at all

do you believe that brains are gendered?

I think there probably are gender differences, but that's just a vague reference to some controversy about asking subjects about gender identification because of differences in the hypothalamus and amygdala during some fMRI studies that some colleague was doing in grad school. The issue may just be due to handedness though.

handedness?

Anonymous K replied with this 11 years ago, 19 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^] [v] #628,496

@previous (kook !!mCVqftDha)
Left handed vs. right handed... They create some differences in certain brain areas. Mostly in the motor cortex but it can create some differences in other brain areas. It's pretty standard to ask about handedness in fMRI studies.

In short: there may be differences re gender (or handedness), but we don't really know what that means or even how a lot of stuff in the brain really works. We have images of PET scans or BOLD responses, but there's no clear link to how that impacts conscious choices or even what consciousness is. So treat the idea that there are differences as a tentative speculation that there are gender differences in brains.

fuck if I know

I don't think about being anything specific in my mind if that means anything, and I think that people who somehow feel that they are not what their body is are kind of weird

but brains are too complicated with itty bitty zones all over for anyone to express any kind of certainty since we don't know how shit works in there as much us we would like to know

First I thought this was an article contesting 'transgenderism' and only posted as kook-bait, but the more I read on the more it seems like it's supporting transgenderism.

Either way, sharing with my GSA group now.
