Your phone is not supposed to do that. That doesn't happen on my phone, and I've not heard of anyone with similar issues. Getting an mp3 player is not a solution, it is just ignoring the problem.

I have roughly three to four tabs open at any given time which I close after I no longer require their contents.
I have two tabs opened right now with five penned tabs.

Nope. Once the cache is loaded for each tab no bits are fed across the net.
