As I understand, r04r is a tulpa. Before Minichan, during the height of the Nick and DM drama, the posters wanted a better board. Meanwhile, Jan simply alternated between twiddling his thumbs and cheering on Nick's systematic and gleeful destruction of Tinychan.

The Tinychan posters wished for a better admin and a better chan. The collective energy of their wishes eventually coalesced into the tulpa called "r04r" who, reflecting the wishes that spawned her, started Minichan and had the highest standards of adminship.
