I never said anything about rhoticists being idiots. Just that changes in the Englihs language haven't reached them just yet. (if you go to the country and other backwards parts of britain they also speak with rhotic accents.)
Non-rhotic English does sound nicer. That's a fact I've been told many times by both native and non-native speakers of it. For that reason alone it is more "sophisticated".

There is nothing "backwards" about accents. There is no such thing as cultural evolution, and even if there was, something that arbitrary wouldn't apply, so stop with the cultural superiority bullshit. Also, whichever one sounds nicer is simply a matter of opinion, not fact. It sounds nicer to you because you're used to it and culturally biased, and the only reason some rhotic speakers say it sounds nicer is simply because people like exotic accents. There's nothing sophisticated about it, and to proclaim that accents can determine sophistication is a bunch of elitist bullshit.
To be honest, I can't stand the British accent, especially on women, but I don't declare them to be "backwards" or "inferior" or "unsophisticated" simply because of their accents.
