Ok, so I live alone in a bug infested apartment. I don't like killing the bugs so sometimes I'll put them in a bottle or put a can on top of them until I can safely release them to their natural habitat. By the time I'm ready to release them they're already gone???

No, I even search the room and they're never seen again but they have to be around. I have pets but they can't get to this room where bugs usually are seen.

Do this next time. Fill jar 1/2 way with water and add lots of bleach. Bleach will clean up the bugs and send the souls off to bug heaven.

You're not serious thinking that jar has a water tight lid that you screw down tight.
Why not go out and collect spiders. With sufficient spiders your bug mates will end up as spider chow.
Or you could continue to live like the cave man we all came from. Doubt they were wasting time collecting bugs. They also probably had lots of happy spiders.

So you have no problem with pest control yet a problem figuring out how to make a jar bug tight.
What is so fucking hard about taking the bugs from jar to outside daily and release them to infiltrate your neighbors.

I think ladybugs are mostly into eating aphids. Unless OP grows things indoors that aphids enjoy this wood be a fail.
