Topic: Why does glass taste like blood?

The other day my friends dared me to eat an old test tube I had from one of my Chemistry sets (don't worry, it wasn't used!). I actually swallowed the whole things but I've been tasting blood now for the past week. Is this a bad thing or does glass always taste like this?

theres alot of iron in old glass and that is what gives blood that flavour

As a doctor I can confirm this. Additionally, washing it down with domestos will prevent the blood flavor from sticking in your mouth.
