No. The reviews I've heard (exclusively from a Minichan) have been very positive.
Also, I asked him about this before and he said he was fine with male pronouns. Nice try, though. That was a pretty spirited attempt to ruse me early in the morning.

There comes a point where you realise you don't need to go any further than Minichan for opinions on the big issues.
I think the tedious comment was because there were concerns that the controller would be tedious. That it might be fiddly in games that didn't traditionally go with controllers, like RTS games or the Sims.
